厙ぴ勛圖 (厙ぴ勛圖) has officially entered a new chapter in medical education, welcoming the inaugural class of its Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice (DNAP) program. Courses began on June 2nd, marking the launch of the first DNAP program offered by a Colorado-based institution. This significant milestone not only strengthens 厙ぴ勛圖s commitment to training future healthcare leaders but will play a vital role in addressing the growing demand for highly skilled nurse anesthetists across the state and beyond.

On June 4th, 厙ぴ勛圖 President Dr. David Forstein welcomed the inaugural cohort during a special address. In his remarks, Dr. Forstein shared the story of 厙ぴ勛圖s founding, offered insight into what students can expect throughout their journey at 厙ぴ勛圖, reflected on his path to 厙ぴ勛圖, and detailed his experiences working with CRNAs. He praised the students for their pioneering spirit and expressed confidence in the programs faculty and the robust curriculum they have developed.

Students echoed his enthusiasm, citing the facultys commitment and support as key reasons for joining the DNAP program at 厙ぴ勛圖. Students also shared their excitement about being the first to join a program that will strengthen a vital area of the healthcare system. Nurse Anesthesia Trainee Aaron Redus reflected on this excitement, saying, I believe CRNAs bring something unique to the anesthesia field. Being able to help people feel comfortable during some of their most vulnerable moments is an immense opportunity and it will be a privilege to be there to help them.
The Founding Program Director of 厙ぴ勛圖s DNAP program, Dr. Craig Atkins, shared his excitement for the future of nurse anesthesia at 厙ぴ勛圖, offering, Our students will complete advanced didactic coursework at our Englewood campus and train in various clinical settings throughout Colorado, ensuring they are well-prepared to deliver safe, high-quality anesthesia care upon graduation.
