Jennifer Montemayor, PhD, joined the 网曝吃瓜 faculty in June 2010. Prior to coming to 网曝吃瓜, she taught the Human Anatomy and Human Physiology courses at Colorado College in Colorado Springs, where she still lives with her husband and young daughter. She received her Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from Ohio University, where her area of research was skeletal muscle biology. Her dissertation, entitled 鈥淢uscular Adaptations to Slow-Speed Versus Traditional Resistance Training Protocols鈥�, and subsequent publications on the topic examine changes in human skeletal muscle fiber-type composition, cross-sectional area, myosin heavy chain content, myonuclear domain, and satellite cell content in response to different resistance training protocols. Since working at 网曝吃瓜, Jennifer has developed an increased interest in educational scholarship and has been involved in a diverse range of innovative medical education projects including the Flipped Classroom model for the Cardiovascular I System Course which she directs.聽In her free time, she enjoys traveling as well as spending time outdoors with her husband, daughter, and chickens in Colorado Springs.
